Welcome
The MicroFACS (Microbial Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting) facility is a community resource seeking to promote BSL-1 research, training, and teaching objectives. The facility is within Jordan Hall (1st floor room 1147) on main campus of NC State University. https://goo.gl/maps/WvNJ7PVNDRV5FWP67
Our system is a “turn-key” BD FACS Melody 3-laser 9-color detection system capable of sorting diverse targets (cells, particles) from a liquid sample. Acquisition of the instrument was made possible by financial support from the National Science Foundation funding and NC State University (Office of Research and Innovation, College of Sciences, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and College of Engineering).
Please follow menu links above for information on instrumentation, availability & user rates, and general contact information. Immediate inquiries can be sent to rpaerl@ncsu.edu.
